What do we love?
We love Egypt for its awe-inspiring ancient monuments like the Pyramids of Giza and the temples of Luxor, which offer a fascinating glimpse into the grandeur of pharaonic history. The vibrant culture, exemplified by the bustling streets of Cairo, the rich flavours of Egyptian cuisine, and the lively traditions of music and dance, adds to its allure.
What are the challenges?
A lot of Egypt suffers from poverty, affecting a large portion of the population, with development and governance hindered by corruption. The country also grapples with inadequate infrastructure, especially in healthcare and education, posing a risk to a lot of families and children.
What are our partners doing?
CRY supports two Education and well-being Clubs across Egypt, serving a total of 286 children (as of 2024), mostly in rural regions where they have limited access to education. The clubs also provide support to children who have suffered from abuse or violence, as well as raising awareness of the need for education, and providing clothes and food to the families that need it the most.
What can you do?
