The Michael Project - Zimbabwe

What we love?

Zimbabwe is full of culture and history; even being home to the majestic Victoria Falls and many national parks full of wildlife. Zimbabwe traditions and ceremonies are a big part of Zimbabwean life, including cultural dances and celebrations.

What are the challenges?

Zimbabwe is also home to widespread poverty, with educational and healthcare systems falling short of the needs of its people. Many areas have limited access to clean water and electricity; and many children are living with malnutrition, inadequate living conditions and the threat of child labour and marriage.

What are we doing?

We are supporting The Michael Project, which exists to help bring aid to the 1.6 million orphans currently in Zimbabwe, through pre-schools, a children’s home for 30 children and programs for adoption and foster care. They aim to help children remain in their families, reunify children with their families and allow children to regain their families, and soon hope to offer support to foster parents and caregivers.
