What do we love?

A unique part of Thai culture is the concept of “sanuk”, a call to emphasise finding joy and fun in everyday activities. They believe life should be enjoyed, and we would love all the children in Thailand to know of this joy.

What are the challenges?

Many children in the remote and rural regions of Thailand are vulnerable to issues of poverty, child labour and trafficking. There is a shortage of schools, teachers and educational resources, which perpetuates the cycle of poverty and makes it harder for children to receive the start in life we believe they deserve.

What are our partners doing?

We have recently partnered with churches in Thailand in their project: Thai Children’s Care, Nutrition and Education. They have a focus on providing nutrition though a children’s feeding programme at village churches, clubs to help after school with education and community, and provision of help with reading, maths and music. Though this is a newly supported project, it is built on a relationship of CRY’s provision over many years. Furthermore, many of the children supported through this scheme are refugees from Myanmar.

What can you do?

Both prayer and finance will go a long way to supporting this project and the children they are able to help. If you would like to give a donation, regular or one-off, click the donate button, and remember to Gift Aid if you can; it really helps.
