What do we love?
We love when communities come together. Vietnamese culture has a rich tradition of communal living and strong sense of community across its villages. In Vietnamese villages, communal activities and mutual support are central to daily life, a cultural value that we admire.
What are the challenges?
Many families in rural regions of Vietnam struggle with poverty, lacking access to basic amenities such as clean water, healthcare, and quality education. There is a wide economic divide between urban and rural, leaving children in rural areas with hindered educational prospects. School facilities and trained teachers are hard to come by, and child labour remains a concern, with many children forced to work to support their families.
What are our partners doing?
Our partners are working tirelessly to make a positive difference. Their project of Health, Education and Skills works across the mountain villages in North West Vietnam, serving over 100 children from ethnic minorities, and with our support are providing regular meals and schooling resources to help them reach their full potential. They have multiple meal programmes running in various churches and are able to provide schooling and living resources, including books, bibles, bedding, clothes, and uniforms.
