What we love?

Romania is renowned for many things, not least the scenery it boasts. It is known for its medieval castles and fortresses, its vibrant capital city with a mix of modern and historical charm, and its landscapes of mountains and coasts – all together making for a diverse land and people alike.

What are the challenges?

The daily reality for some families and children in the outskirts of Brasov is one of poverty, unemployment, addiction, and violence. Some families struggle greatly, and many children drop out of school.

What are our partners doing?

CRY partners with a centre in Brasov that remains our longest-partnered project. The centre provides a homework club with a vision to see children stay in school and succeed to reach their full potential, and also provide a hot meal to each of the children that attend. The centre is also home to a creche, and runs a food bank that supplies vital food to 25 families in need each month.
