What we love?

Bolivia's commitment to preserving its cultural heritage and protecting its natural wonders shows a real value on loving and protecting the world God created. The country's efforts to maintain its indigenous traditions, support local communities, and promote eco-friendly tourism initiatives make it an inspiring place to be and work.

What are the challenges?

Children in Bolivia face several challenges, including high rates of domestic abuse, child labour and exploitation, sexual abuse and child marriage. On top of this, there are barriers to education, limited child protection services and cycles of abuse being perpetuated by cultural norms. Many children do not know where to go for help.

What are our partners doing?

CRY is partnering with and providing support to the New Heart Foundation in Bolivia, an organisation dedicated to helping girls who have been victims of violence and abuse. They offer a secure environment for these girls to heal and rebuild their lives, and protect their future to propel them to reach their full potential. Some girls are reunited with their families, and some stay residing in the home; all are learning vital life skills to teach independence. CRY particularly supports one of its initiatives aimed at providing life skills and technical training, which will benefit the 15 girls residing at New Heart Foundation directly. Moreover, hundreds of children, parents, teachers, and community members attending New Heart's seminars, summer classes, training sessions, or ministry activities throughout the year will also benefit indirectly.
