What we love?

Peru is a land of breathtaking beauty, where diverse landscapes range from the towering peaks of the Andes to the lush rainforests of the Amazon. Its rich cultural heritage is reflected in vibrant festivals, ancient Incan ruins, and the colorful traditions of its people. Whether exploring the ruins of Machu Picchu or savoring the flavors of its renowned cuisine, Peru offers an unforgettable experience that captivates the heart and soul.

What are the challenges?

Despite progress in some of the country, many families still live in poverty and facing unemployment struggles. Basic needs are hard to meet for many, and access to quality education remains a significant challenge. Additionally, healthcare access is a critical issue, with many children facing malnutrition, preventable diseases, and limited access to medical services, particularly in isolated communities. These health challenges can have long-term effects on children's physical and cognitive development, further hindering their ability to thrive.

What are our partners doing?

We partner with Club Corason, a social centre in Peru that offers life-changing provision: clothes, food baskets, sanitation and hygiene advice. They provide a vital service for children and young people, acting as a safe place where children are nurtured, supported and cared for. Hundreds of people attend their events and children’s clubs, and they also work with parents and schools to offer counselling, food and guidance to help children reach their full potential. They also work and deliver activities for rural Quechua communities in the Andes ensuring that some of the basic children's needs are met.
