Christmas 2024 | Known By Name

One of the former US presidents famously said: 

“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.” 

What a challenge it is for us to embrace such a perspective when we live in a society so consumed by materialism, individualism, and even hatred. Yet, this year, let us once again be reminded that Christmas is far more than just an event; it is also a mindset and a heart attitude. It calls us to live our lives in service to others, especially those who are marginalised and forgotten. After all, isn’t this the true message of the nativity story and the Gospel? 

We are proud to support the work of two incredible projects serving children with additional needs in Liberia (His Safe Haven) and Afghanistan (Le Pelican). To continue effectively supporting some of these youth, in 2025 we need to raise at least £15,000 this Christmas. This year’s appeal is dedicated to that cause, and all donations will go directly towards meeting this need, helping children like Erica, as seen in our Christmas film this year.
